Follow this DRAX "Two-Step" application procedure:
Step1: Survey baiting with DRAX Dual Syringe
Initial baiting determines which DRAX bait to use and the extent of baiting necessary to achieve control. Commonly Ant infestations are more extensive than meets the eye. Survey baiting will indicate the extent and degree of infestation as well as the species of Ant involved. Multiple species are possible.
Inside Baiting: Use the DRAX Dual Syringe. Apply 1¼ to 1½ inches of Bait in linear placements. Apply where Ants are seen and to predictable Ant entrance sites such as windowsills and door frames, on countertops and around water sources and sinks.
Outside Baiting: Use the DRAX Dual Syringe. Apply where Ants are seen entering a building, around door frames, winowsills, and along walkways. Apply DRAX in a uniform pattern (every 3 or 4 paces) along the building's foundation ledge or at 12 foot intervals between the building and cement walkways.
Step 2: Treatment baiting using either DRAX GEL(brown) or DRAX PF(green)
Inspect initial baiting sites after 3-4 weeks to determine subsequent treatments:
Localized Treatment : When survey baiting indicates a localized problem, rebaiting need be confined only to the localized area.
Total Area Treatment: When extensive treatment is indicated re-baiting at 30 day intervals is appropriate for the first 90 days with increased baiting placements as cycles progress to achieve control. Major population reduction (up to 99%) will, in most cases, be noted after the second baiting.
Treatment plan for General areas:
For each thousand square feet you may need 2 syringes. For most houses this generally means 1½ syringes inside and ½ syringe outside for treatment.
The use of residual sprays in conjunction with, or near, bait placements should be avoided. Sprays and other baits are not needed when DRAX is used for Ant control work inside structures.
